It Seems to Me

When I'm at the end of all my hope
Though I know which way to go
This hesitation in my heart,
Like I've forgotten who You are

And it seems to me
That who I'm meant to be
Is more than I can be
On my own
But it's clear to me
That Your work in me
Is more powerful than I could ever know

I say to Christ
You are my Rock
And the Good Shepherd of Your flock
Like a foolish sheep am I
If I should choose ever to deny

I say to fear
What is your place?
For I'm rescued by His grace
How small and shallow Is your gaze
To think that you could come before His praise?

And it seems to me
That who I'm meant to be
Is more than I can be
On my own
But it's clear to me
That Your work in me
Is more powerful than I could ever know

I say to doubt
How do you dare?
My Lord crucified my sin and left it there!

And it seems to me
That who I'm meant to be
Is more than I can be
On my own
But it's clear to me
That Your work in me
Is more powerful than I could ever know

I say to fear
What is your place?
For I'm rescued by His grace
How small and shallow Is your gaze
To think that you could come before His praise?
We will never cease to praise!
Lord, we will ever give You praise.

And it seems to me
That who I'm meant to be
Is more than I can be
On my own
But it's clear to me
That Your work in me
Is more powerful than I could ever know
